Year End Award Guidelines

Year End High Score Awards

General Rules

    1. Member must be in good standing when scores are earned

    2. Members must have earned 1 work credit (1 job for MDA) at MDA Shows by the end of the show season to be eligible

    3. Riders must fill out a year end application for the scores to count

    4. Members must compete at a minimum of THREE shows in the season

    5. Riders must compete in two different tests of the level during the show season

    6. Horse and rider teams may apply for awards in two consecutive levels with a Division (Maiden, Open, Young Horse ect)

      1. Example - Introductory and Training level, or Training and First Level

    7. Horse and rider teams may NOT cross enter at the same level in different Divisions

      1. Example - you may NOT apply for a Training Level award in Maiden and Open

      2. Example - you can apply for a Training level Open and then a First Level Maiden 

    8. Horse and rider teams  can earn a Championship twice at any given level - after that they are no longer eligible at that level

      1.  MFS, Pas De Deux, or Quadrille can win the award more than twice if they move up a level

    9. Five scores from three different shows are used to calculate high score average
